Student Administrative Assistant, Learning Design Group
The Learning Design Group is seeking a motivated student assistant to support our Course Design Series and research efforts related to generative AI in education. This position involves both research and administrative responsibilities.
Research Responsibilities:
- Read and discuss academic articles related to AI in education
- Represent the student perspective on AI and classroom-related topics
- Test and experiment with various uses of AI and other educational technologies, and share feedback
- Complete additional research tasks and office-related assignments as needed
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Attend and take notes during faculty meetings
- Assist with planning and scheduling project-related meetings
- Communicate with various stakeholders to coordinate logistics for events
- Help solicit student participants for various projects and presentations
- Perform minor scheduling and administrative tasks as needed
- Organize and maintain a shared library of resources in Google Drive
What We Would Like You To Have:
- Previous administrative or office experience
- Thoughtful and diligent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience and interest with GenAI tools, educational technology, or instructional design concepts
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and Teams, Google Workspace, Zoom, and Canvas
Details:
- Minimum of 5 hours/week, with potential growth
- Required availability: Tuesdays from 12-2pm and first Tuesday of each month from 10am-11am.; remaining hours flexible and negotiable
- Fully remote position (no in-person requirements)
- Start date: Beginning of the Fall 2025 semester
- Optional summer hours may be available
