La Escuelita Arcoiris, a nature-based Spanish immersion preschool, is seeking a Communications and Marketing intern who will be responsible for documenting and disseminating information about all aspects of the schools programming and activities. This includes all marketing, communications, and branding efforts for its 25th anniversary year, outreach to alumni families and community members. Collaborating with La Escuelita Arcoris’s administration and education team, the Communications and Marketing intern is the lead in creating a variety of strategic and communications including newsletters and website content, social media campaigns, internal and external messaging, fundraising appeals, and other print materials.   

Specific duties include:

• Digital Communications: Create unique and dynamic content that documents life at La Escuelita Arcoiris to be shared on a variety of platforms, including special activities and feature stories for the school website and social media.  Serve as the lead administrator on all of the School’s social media platforms.  Create digital materials encompassing the school’s 25 year history for anniversary events.
• Schoolwide Communications: Create targeted messaging for current and alumni families, friends and stakeholders for both print and digital. Produce marketing materials, including newsletters, flyers and brochures with a streamlined and consistent approach.  Support events including developing promotional materials and creation of event summary via photo and video highlights.
• Database Management: Review and organize our client database management system.  Verify for accuracy and input missing information.

The Communications and Marketing Intern role is a part-time (10-15 hours p/week) position and reports to La Escuelita Arcoiris’s Director of Operations. Qualifies for college credit. Pay negotiable based on experience.  

Qualifications:

• Excellent written communication skills, spelling, grammar, and a creative sense of design.
• Enthusiastic about promoting the importance of early childhood education and the mission of La Escuelita Arcoiris.
• Organization and the ability to work independently.
• A high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word and Canva, with preferred proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
• A working knowledge of social media platforms.
• Must be bilingual Spanish/English
• Candidates with other skills that would enhance the storytelling of the school, such as basic photography and/or videography and editing, podcasting, etc. are strongly encouraged.
