
Instructional Designer – Executive Education (Canvas LMS)
About the Role
Drive continuous improvement in our executive‐level online programs. You will own the end-to-end process of revising courses in Canvas, transforming learner feedback into engaging, high-impact learning experiences that meet the exacting standards of senior business professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Feedback Analysis & Action Planning
- Mine course evaluations, analytics, and facilitator insights to isolate pain points and opportunities.
- Translate findings into a prioritized enhancement roadmap.

Course Redesign & Development
- Update or rebuild modules, activities, multimedia assets, and assessments directly in Canvas using best-practice instructional design models (e.g., Backward Design, SAM).
- Ensure every change aligns with defined learning objectives and executive‐education pedagogy.

Quality Assurance & Testing
- Perform rigorous pre-launch reviews—accessibility, UX flow, mobile responsiveness, and SCORM/LTI integrations.
- Coordinate pilot releases and capture rapid-cycle data to validate improvements.

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with faculty, subject-matter experts, and program managers to refine content voice and rigor.
- Facilitate feedback workshops and training sessions on new course features.

Measurement & Reporting
- Track post-update metrics (completion rates, engagement, NPS) and present concise impact reports to leadership.

Required Qualifications
- 1+ years designing or updating courses in Canvas LMS for adult or executive audiences.
- Proven command of instructional design theories (ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick Levels of Evaluation).
- Strong media development skills (Storyline, Camtasia, or similar) and familiarity with HTML/CSS for Canvas page tweaks.
- Data-driven mindset—comfortable extracting insights from Canvas Analytics or similar dashboards.
- Exceptional written communication; can distill complex business concepts into clear, action-oriented learning materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate executive education, business schools, or professional development programs.
- Working knowledge of AI-driven learning tools (e.g., adaptive release, personalized feedback bots).
