Production Manager – Multifamily Construction (Exterior Projects)
Location: DFW Metroplex
Type: Full-Time | Salary: $75,000–$85,000 + Vehicle Allowance + Bonus Structure
Travel: Local, within assigned market

About the Role:
Matrix Construction is looking for a skilled and motivated Production Manager to lead exterior construction projects across multifamily properties in the DFW Metroplex. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full production cycle—from scope and planning through execution, client communication, and project closeout.

This is a field-focused leadership position that requires strong technical construction knowledge, the ability to manage multiple job sites, and the confidence to lead teams and vendors with professionalism and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of exterior capital improvement and renovation projects for multifamily properties.
• Lead site walks with vendors and subcontractors to define project scope and technical requirements.
• Develop detailed take-offs and scopes of work; support estimating and proposal development.
• Manage procurement, scheduling, subcontractor buyouts, and jobsite logistics.
• Supervise subcontractors and in-house teams to ensure adherence to plans, quality standards, and timelines.
• Adjust and manage construction schedules proactively to prevent and address delays.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Handle documentation including RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, and closeout materials.
• Conduct punch walks and ensure rework is completed to satisfaction.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure job sites across all active projects.

What You Bring:

• Solid technical knowledge of construction sequencing, best practices, and field operations.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and vendors across multiple active projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project, Sage 100, or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Spanish fluency or proficiency is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to job sites across the DFW Metroplex.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• Background in estimating or superintendent roles a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and walk active construction sites daily.

Expect a mix of field and office time, with heavy field presence during active phases.
