Marketing Coordinator

Summary

This position works closely with the Business Development & Marketing Department team members to coordinate and execute all related activities that support attorney’s business development, marketing, and client service initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will support all firm marketing engagements such as sponsorship commitments and events, memberships, and in-kind agreements. This position will support the firm’s client gifting program, team projects, and events.

 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate all sponsorship commitments, including budget approval, creation of program ads, benefits, and photos
  • Proactively solicit attorney and client attendance, scheduling, and meal choices as necessary
  • Coordinate details directly with hosting organizations
  • Collect and report post event photos and feedback
  • Coordinate all firm, department, and individual memberships, including scheduling and facilitating renewals
  • Continuously ensure that membership lists are up to date and attorneys are receiving appropriate benefits and communications
  • Coordinate with organizations to maximize engagement and visibility opportunities for the firm and relevant attorneys
  • Serve as one of the firm’s main Lex Mundi contacts
  • Maintain and coordinate firm season ticket memberships and ad hoc ticket purchases
  • Provide support on social media and website postings
  • Coordinate Davis Graham client gift program (e.g. Thanksgiving gifts)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Abilities

  1. Excellent writing and editing skills with minimal need for revision. Strong attention to detail in overall work product.
  2. Capacity to prioritize a complex workload, work independently, and complete tasks under time pressure.
  3. Flexibility to work before and after scheduled hours to coordinate events is needed.
  4. Polished verbal communication skills.
  5. Aptitude to take initiative and ownership of projects, using free time to audit, evaluate and suggest additions, edits, and improvements to current systems.
  6. Ability to exercise good judgment regarding access to sensitive and confidential information.
  7. Ability to establish effective working relationships and act as a team player throughout the firm, with clients, and vendors.
  8. Curious and resourceful personality combined with perseverance, patience and a desire to deliver accurate, high-value products.
  9. Willingness to meet the requirements of the position, accepting a wide variety of assignments as called upon.
  10. Understanding of the law firm business model, the services provided by a major corporate law firm, and the needs and expectations of law firm clients.
  11. Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, InDesign, Photoshop, Campaign Monitor, CRM systems, and related resources.

Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work in a professional office environment with some ability to work from home.  Because the employee will handle sensitive firm and client information, the employee must work from a home office and not a public location during any remote periods. The employee will routinely use standard office equipment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some flexibility in start and end times and a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.     

 

Occasional overtime is required. Early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

Required Education and Experience

High school degree or equivalent and relevant work experience

 

Preferred Education and Experience

BA/BS degree, with a preference for a degree in marketing, communications, or English, in addition to a minimum of one year of marketing/business development experience.

Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
