Position Overview:

Bose Public Affairs Group LLC is accepting applications for a Local DC/Multistate Government Affairs Intern in our Washington, D.C. office during the Fall of 2025. This is a paid, in-person opportunity. As an intern, you will assist our team in tracking and analyzing legislation and regulations, attending hearings and public meetings, conducting policy research, and supporting client advocacy efforts. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with a wide range of issues— gaming, professional sports, micromobility, housing, economic development and utilities—while developing skills in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and legislative monitoring and drafting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend/monitor and summarize hearings, agency briefings, and community meetings
  • Track legislative and regulatory developments affecting client interests
  • Conduct research on public policy issues, political developments, and agency actions
  • Draft briefing memos, issue summaries, and client updates
  • Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, presentations, and advocacy campaigns
  • Support strategic communications, including newsletters, social media, and stakeholder outreach
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate (junior or senior), graduate student, or recent graduate preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in local government, public policy, advocacy, or law
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity and ties to DC a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
