Job Summary
In this role at Colorado College, you'll take the lead in managing, executing, and providing strategic direction for a diverse array of events, including departmental, academic, and signature events. As a member of the Internal Events Team, you will also assist with large-scale, all-college events. Collaboration with departments across campus will be key to developing events that align with and support the college's goals and priorities.
Responsibilities
• Manage, develop and implement the college's policies concerning internal events and streamline processes so events are consistent across campus.
• Provide leadership and execute event details and logistics, considering guest's experience and safety as a top priority.
• Serve as liaison from the College Events team to internal campus partners as needed.
• Working with the client, develop, monitor and track budget for all events, ensuring all costs are allocated to the appropriate departmental budgets.
• Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale college events.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a fast-paced environment plus a minimum of three years in event planning, program logistics, hospitality, or a similar field.
• Demonstrated experience providing vision and guidance to clients to create successful events that achieve their goals.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Proficient with budget analysis and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds, diffuse difficult situations and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado College's motor vehicle insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications
• Two years' experience planning events in a higher education environment.
Experience with Momentus, Social Tables, Qualtrics, Salesforce Affinaquest CRM, or similar programs; demonstrated ability to learn new software programs.
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to event planning or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation.
• Supervisory experience.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
• $51,014 to $61,217 per year
