Position Summary
The Performance and Compliance Lead is responsible for overseeing operational performance standards across all divisions and ensuring company-wide compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements. This role acts as a centralized point of accountability to monitor, measure, and improve execution across field operations, subcontractor activities, and administrative procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Oversight
Track and analyze KPIs for job site performance, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, and schedule adherence
Collaborate with project managers and division heads to identify underperformance and implement corrective action plans
Lead periodic performance reviews with department leaders and ownership
Compliance Management
Ensure adherence to all contractual requirements, safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company SOPs
Monitor subcontractor and vendor compliance with project specifications, licensing, and insurance requirements
Assist with internal audits and documentation control for public bids and regulatory filings
Process Development
Create and maintain performance dashboards, checklists, and audit tools to standardize compliance checks
Support the rollout of new operational systems, policies, or training designed to enhance efficiency and risk management
Recommend and enforce corrective actions when gaps are identified
Reporting & Communication
Serve as liaison between field operations and executive leadership for performance and compliance matters
Maintain clear, timely reports for leadership review on active project compliance status and key risk indicators
Support internal investigations, incident reviews, or third-party audits
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction, operations, or compliance oversight
Strong understanding of civil construction operations and public project requirements
Proven experience implementing performance tracking systems or compliance frameworks
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently, enforce accountability, and navigate complex situations professionally
