Internship Opportunity: Bookkeeping Assistant – Billing Clerk
Location: Downtown Wilmington, NC
Type: Part-Time (20 hrs./week)

About the Role
Join LINC, Inc. as a Bookkeeping Assistant – Billing Clerk Intern and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit finance, billing coordination, and grant administration. You’ll collaborate closely with the Financial Director to support day-to-day accounting tasks while contributing to a mission that empowers justice-involved individuals and underserved communities.
What You’ll Do
- Record financial transactions and reconcile bank accounts.
- Process invoices, vendor bills, and deposits.
- Support accounts payable/receivable and maintain organized records.
- Assist with billing and reimbursement requests for grants and contracts.
- Use QuickBooks and Excel to track and report financial data.
What We’re Looking For
- Enrolled in or completed a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data entry skills.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with others.
Pay & Perks
- Competitive pay: $15–$18/hour based on experience.
