Internship Opportunity: Bookkeeping Assistant – Billing Clerk

Location:        Downtown Wilmington, NC 

Type:                 Part-Time (20 hrs./week) 

Setting: In-Person

About the Role

Join LINC, Inc. as a Bookkeeping Assistant – Billing Clerk Intern and gain hands-on experience in nonprofit finance, billing coordination, and grant administration. You’ll collaborate closely with the Financial Director to support day-to-day accounting tasks while contributing to a mission that empowers justice-involved individuals and underserved communities.

 What You’ll Do

  • Record financial transactions and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Process invoices, vendor bills, and deposits.
  • Support accounts payable/receivable and maintain organized records.
  • Assist with billing and reimbursement requests for grants and contracts.
  • Use QuickBooks and Excel to track and report financial data.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Enrolled in or completed a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data entry skills.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with others.

 

Pay & Perks

  • Competitive pay: $15–$18/hour based on experience.
