Professional Licensing Support Services Supervisor

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

In this important Professional Licensing Support Services Supervisor role, you'll report directly to the Managing Director, providing expert oversight for critical programs including criminal history, investigative technicians, grants, and contracts, as well as other designated initiatives. You'll be responsible for leading and developing a dedicated team of six employees across these diverse areas, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery for our customers. This position is key to driving program effectiveness, optimizing processes, and fostering strong inter-agency relationships. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of six staff members, including developing and monitoring performance plans, approving timecards, recommending recognition or corrective actions, and effectively resolving team concerns and conflicts.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation, effectively responding to and resolving complex or sensitive situations that extend beyond the staff's immediate capability.
  • Routinely evaluate program performance and effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and data to pinpoint workflow bottlenecks and weaknesses, then design and implement innovative solutions.
  • Develop, refine, and enforce critical policies and operating standards, including the preparation of administrative rules as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and division team to provide expert consultation and advice on strategic operational or policy improvements.
  • Ensure all public communication consistently enhances the user experience for Division customers, fostering clarity and satisfaction.
  • Manage contracts, agreements, and grants utilized by the Division, overseeing their implementation and compliance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and/or their Google equivalent, Google Docs and Sheets.
  • Experience managing, supervising, or leading employees, programs, and/or projects.


 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years of supervision/management experience.
  • Experience in professional regulation or practice as a licensed professional.
  • Experience working with government contracts.
  • Experience or education in business management or other management.
  • Experience in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Aptitude for Innovation.

    • Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual, 4 hours sick).
    • Annual leave amounts increase with years of service.

  • Job Classification: Program Specialist II (#16040).
  • Valid driver's license required to drive a motor vehicle on a highway in this state per UCA 53-3-202(1)(a).
