Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:

• Policy Development and Process Improvement:

  • Lead training programs to ensure the team’s adherence to policies and procedures.
• Financial Reporting and Auditing:

• Budget Management:
  • Assist in developing and managing city-wide budgets.
  • Drive financial initiatives that enhance operational efficiency across departments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely coordination of City debt payments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s/CPA preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in middle management, preferably in governmental finance or accounting.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting policies, and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, work independently, and handle multiple priorities effectively.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial systems and computer applications.
• Knowledge in utility billing, grant management, and payroll regulations is desirable.
