The Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is seeking an individual to work in public service as a Student Assistant in the Office of General Counsel’s Fraud Investigation Unit.  This position is an opportunity to do work that truly matters - helping protect consumers and maintaining public confidence in Michigan’s insurance and financial services industries.

The right candidate will serve an important role by ensuring consumers, insurance companies, and financial institutions are protected from fraudulent activities. As a Student Assistant you will be responsible for assisting in the processing and maintenance of complaints, inputting data on various databases, distributing mail and faxes, and providing administrative support as needed. Student Assistants may also be tasked with special projects assigned by the supervisor.

Work Location: This is an in-person position based in Lansing, Michigan.
