Southwest Technical Sales Representative
Enterprise Specialty Products, Inc. (ESP) is looking to add a Technical Sales Representative to our growing team. With over 175 years of combined experience in foam control products, ESP is committed to providing customers with the highest quality products and customer service.
This is a full-time position, with required traveling in the Southwest Territory which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. We are looking for a candidate that currently lives in or will/can move to Texas.
ESP is a specialty chemical company headquartered in South Carolina and focused on manufacturing surface active chemistry and are searching for a professional sales representative that has an excellent work ethic and good problem-solving skills. The position is strictly outside sales focusing on selling primarily to end users. The territory covers the Southwest region (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and portions of Alabama). Current territory revenue in excess of $2.75MM. This is a technical sales role that involves extensive travel and is best suited to someone who is adept at making their own schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements. It will include servicing existing customers and finding new opportunities to increase market share with an emphasis on solid in-person technical support and service to the customer. Market segments include inks, coatings, paints, adhesives, construction products, oil & gas, mining, wastewater/water treatment, textiles, metalworking fluids, paper, and HI&I.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organic sales growth per increased poundage and sales dollars for the defined territory for ESP’s antifoam & defoaming products
- Work directly with ESP customers and prospects to provide technical support and assistance
- Outside sales at ESP requires extensive travel within the territory along with occasional trade shows and visits to the home office in Laurens, SC and typically at 2 to 4 overnights 3 of every 4 weeks
- The addition of new business in the form of new accounts and new business at current customers is the main driver for this job
- Continual growth and experience with ESP product offerings and identifying competitive products for the markets being covered
- Prepare quarterly summaries of sales and targets and an annual quantity forecast for all customers in territory
- Prepare and author Call Reports and Technical Service Requests on customer visits and virtual meetings
- Manage the CRM data in DEACOM system for current and prospective customers
- Provide monthly expense reports to ESP’s Controller for review and reimbursement
- Any additional tasks assigned by sales supervisor
Qualifications:
- BS preferred (chemistry or related science), experience may be considered
- 5 plus years in chemical market field (technical/lab or sales/service – water treatment, oil/gas, or related)
- Demonstrated ability in meeting sales objectives, must be self-motivated
- Impeccable interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychology
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 dependent on experience/education
