Accounting Coordinator

Accounting Coordinator Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial operations. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the accounts payable process by processing vendor invoices with accuracy and ensuring proper approvals.
- Reconciling purchase orders, receipts, and vendor statements.
- Responding promptly to internal and external inquiries regarding payments, invoices, and discrepancies.
- Assisting with weekly check runs and contributing to the modernization of payment processes.
- Preparing and submitting various tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting month-end closing activities by preparing reports and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Compiling and maintaining documentation for annual CPA reviews, banking audits, and taxation authority audits.
- Performing financial modeling and analysis to support business decisions.
- Completing other finance-related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Required Skill Set: The right candidate would possess the following traits:
- Attention to Detail – demonstrate a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in processing invoices, payments, and financial records
- Extremely organized – with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work quickly & efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical skills – with a dedication to quality & accuracy in all work
- General computer skills – with a proficiency in all MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
- Strong communication skills- with the ability to communicate in a direct, professional manner
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field
The general core schedule is 8:30AM-5:00PM, Monday through Friday with flexibility needed to occasionally work earlier and/or later. This role can be completed partially in a work-from-home environment and partially in an Avanti office setting. Currently, the requirement for in-person work in the office is three days a week, which is subject to change and could potentially increase.
