Marketing and Communication Position – Lincoln, Nebraska

Position Summary

The Marketing and Communication position completes marketing and communication efforts for the Nebraska FFA Foundation, development efforts for specific corporate partnerships, and programming as delegated. The Marketing and Communications position will take on personally all tasks needed to fulfill the marketing and communication efforts of the Nebraska FFA Foundation and work to meet measurable goals and metrics. This position reports to the Executive Director of the Nebraska FFA Foundation.

Specific Responsibilities

The Marketing and Communications position articulates and supports the vision, mission, goals, and core values of the Nebraska FFA Foundation. This role requires one to personally take on all tasks needed to fulfill each element of marketing and communication tactics related to the strategic plan of the Foundation, which includes: Executing an annual communication and marketing plan, content development for all promotion strategies as it relates to the mission and program impact, content development and management of website and social channels, as well as other digital marketing efforts, corporate sponsorship collateral execution, including a podcast and media relations.

Minimum Requirements

1.     Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources, Agriculture Education, Agriculture Communications, Education, Marketing, Mass Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, or similar field.

2.     Experiences related to content creation, social media management, audience engagement, community development, and fundraising.

3.     Ability to understand and explain decisions and recommendations.

4.     Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, and critique such information as written materials, numerical data, responses to customer needs, and/or other related activities.

5.     Ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives to satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.

6.     Ability to operate a telephone and respond to calls and in-person inquiries. Ability to move about the office with occasional reaching and bending.

7.     Ability to successfully interact with and represent the organization to staff, board members, customers, and the public at all levels.

8.     Ability to use a computer and various software (Adobe Software – InDesign, Premiere Pro, Libsyn, Buffer, LinkTree, Canva, Bloomerang, Vimeo) that is related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the position.  

9.     Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities.

10.  Ability to work from the Foundation office in Lincoln, Nebraska.

11.  Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside.

Experience with Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Video Editing and/or SEO (search engine optimization) is a plus, but not a requirement.
