Account Executive

Job Description

Summary:

 

Account Executives are key members of a high performing, team-oriented Sales Team. In this role, you will focus on nurturing existing customer relationships and ensuring they invest in the right media solutions tailored to their unique needs. Your primary goal will be to develop new business, minimize customer churn, enhance customer satisfaction, drive upselling opportunities, and maintain consistent year-over-year growth in marketing investments.


What you will do:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their business goals and advertising needs to provide effective solutions and offerings

Place priority on getting long term contract commitments from customers, and work well in advance of contracts expiring to renew them with growth strategies with no lapse on contractual relationship

Conduct regular check-ins with customers to assess their satisfaction and identify opportunities to deepen their engagement with our offerings. Proactively recommend and upsell media solutions to clients, ensuring they are aware of and have access to the best tools for achieving their overall marketing goals

Review digital reporting with your customers and analyze customer performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing their media strategies

Sell a diverse range of advertising solutions, including newsprint, magazines, digital banners & positions on our websites, e-newsletters, programmatic, social media, electronic signage, connected TV (CTV), and sponsorship opportunities for local events and more

Work closely with members of the team, the sales team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of customer strategies

Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, effectively influencing and persuading customers, while also communicating effectively to your Squad mates

Utilize CRM management platforms to document customer interactions, track progress, and manage customer data efficiently

Maintain a competitive mindset while prioritizing teamwork and collaboration, contributing to a positive sales culture

 

What you will bring:

Proven experience in sales, or account management, preferably in a media or advertising environment, with a track record of customer retention

Strong relationship builder, with effective probing skills and a curious nature to uncover new opportunities for current customers

Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for helping clients succeed

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers and present ideas clearly and persuasively

Familiarity with a range of advertising solutions, including print, digital, events and social media platforms is helpful Experience with CRM management platforms is a plus

A team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues while pursuing individual goals

Benefits and Compensation:

 

The hourly wage is $24.04. This position is only eligible for incentive compensation (commission), cell phone, and mileage reimbursement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
