Public Relations and Social Media Undergraduate Internship

Public Relations and Social Media Undergraduate Internship - Fall 2025

The team also coordinates social media strategy, execution, and community management for the MFA’s primary social channels: Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube—a total audience of nearly 1.5 million followers.

The team is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented intern with strong writing skills and an interest in pursuing a career in communications. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Public Relations and Content Marketing as well as the Public Relations Associate, the intern will support day-to-day departmental operations and gain hands-on experience in media relations and social media management.

The ideal candidates must be able to work onsite 16 hours per week (preferably Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays) from September 12 through December 12, 2025, including attendance at the Museum Pathways & Practices professional development course from 12:30-2:30pm on the following Fridays: Sept 19, Sept 26, Oct 3, Oct 10, Oct 17, Oct 24, Oct 31, Nov 7, Nov 14, Nov 21, and Dec 5.

The selected intern will be paid at a rate of $16.80 per hour. Each intern will receive a $90 per month transportation subsidy.

As we amplify our efforts toward becoming a truly inclusive institution, ensuring that diversity, equity, and access are lived values, we actively encourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to apply to the program.
