About the Role
Bello Machre is now accepting applications for an Accounting Intern for Fall 2025. This in-person internship offers a hands-on, immersive experience alongside our Business Department, which manages all aspects of Bello Machre’s accounting and financial operations. Interns will gain practical exposure to real-world accounting functions and financial systems in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the process of invoice creation across various departments
- Review CMS-1500 forms and spreadsheets to support billing procedures
- Analyze financial data to understand our internal accounting systems
- Utilize Smart Search to retrieve key documentation for billing and auditing
- Gain an understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and how they interconnect
Who You Are
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Interested in finance, accounting, or nonprofit business operations
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, and financial data
- Professional, dependable, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment
Internship Details
- Must be available in person 2–3 days per week in Annapolis, MD
- Internship is unpaid, but $2,000 stipend provided upon completion of 120 hours
- Must pass background checks and attend required onboarding trainings
- Open to currently enrolled students or professional development applicants
