MultiTracks.com Fall Internship

Fall Internship 

Cedar Park, TX (On-site preferred)

 As an intern at MultiTracks.com, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the department that aligns with your degree. Interns work alongside a team or mentor and will have direct project ownership related to the field of interest. A limited number of internships will be available each Spring, Summer and Fall semester; we encourage you to apply early to be considered.

Students who are selected to move forward in the interview process will also be required to provide a letter of recommendation from a school authority or professional reference. 

 

Fall Internships:  Application/Interview Period - July/August; Internship - Sept-Nov

Spring Internships: Application/Interview Period - Dec/January; Internship - Feb-April

Summer Internships: Application/Interview Period - April/May; Internship - June-August

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of an Associate’s, Bachelor's or Master’s program in a relevant major
  • Must be willing to intern for a minimum of 10 weeks and up to 12 weeks max at a minimum of 10 hours per week up to 15 hours maximum per week.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Basic knowledge of tools related to your area of interest
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute
  • Ability to work in-office is preferred

 

Preferred Qualifications by area of interest: 

 

Audio Engineering 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or related field
  • Experience with DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live)
  • Familiarity with audio recording, mixing, and editing techniques
  • Understanding of signal flow and basic acoustics
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Design 

  • Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, UI/UX, or similar
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch
  • Strong visual, layout, and typography skills
  • Basic understanding of design systems and accessibility
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant student or freelance work

Video Production 

  • Pursuing a degree in Film & Media, Digital Media, Visual Arts or related field
  • Understanding of video production stages
  • Familiarity with framing, composition, and lighting principles
  • Proficiency with at least one video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Ability to take feedback and iterate
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing previous work

Studio Production 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Music Production, or a related field
  • Experience with software (e.g., Dorico, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live)
  • Assist in daily studio operations including session setup, equipment maintenance, and inventory tracking.
  • Shadow audio engineers and producers during live recording sessions to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software and hardware.
  • Support post-production tasks such as editing, mixing, and mastering under supervision.

 Song Charting 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Music Composition, Music Production, or a related field
  • Experience with software (e.g., Dorico, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live)
  • Understanding of foundational music theory
  • Ability to hear and notate chord quality and accurately place chords over lyrics in a chord chart
  • Ability to hear and notate rhythm for a rhythm chart
  • Experience in writing orchestrations and creating lead sheets
