(P&C) Solutions Delivery - Scrum Master I
We’re seeking an entry-level Scrum Master I to support agile development teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing obstacles, and promoting team collaboration. In this servant-leader role, you’ll help drive the success of simple to moderately complex projects while growing your skills in agile project delivery with limited supervision.
This position is available onsite at our Glenmont, NY and Springfield, MO locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Leads the scrum team to improve collaboration and self-management by modeling and educating the team on agile principles and values. Also, adheres to the agile framework and organizes sprint ceremonies including daily standups, story refinement, sprint retrospectives, etc.
Leads project meetings in a positive tone, and ensures conversations stay on topic, and are productive within the scheduled timeframe.
- Creates transparency and collaboration by assisting teams in organizing their work, backlog, and metrics, reinforcing the expectation for self-management and product ownership.
- Coaches the team to continually improve through retrospectives. Partners with an Agile Coach, as needed, to identify and redirect areas of concern for best outcomes.
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Represents the team at broader planning and coordination sessions (e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
- Supports the team in using agile planning and development tools (Azure DevOps).
- Actively participates in internal communities of practice/Center of Excellence to improve skills to better support the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- One to two years of Agile experience.
- Additional Qualifications:

- Understanding of agile/scrum practices, frameworks, and techniques at a level that enables effective application.
- Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience successfully leading small to midsize projects with moderate degrees of difficulty.
- Experience utilizing Azure DevOps to manage projects.
- Experience in financial services and/or insurance industries.
- CSM or PSM II, or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
