Accelerate, a workforce development initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, is now accepting applications for our Fall 2025 internship cohort!
This is a unique opportunity to get involved with Clean Cities and Communities, where you'll have the chance to work side by side with inspiring mentors and network with a wide range of stakeholders who have a common interest in building a more sustainable future.
Clean Cities and Communities is a U.S. Department of Energy partnership to advance clean transportation nationwide. More than 75 DOE-designated Clean Cities and Communities coalitions (intern’s host organization) work locally in urban, suburban, and rural communities to strengthen the nation’s environment, energy security, and economic prosperity. As partners with DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Office, coalitions work to deploy affordable, efficient, fuel-saving technologies and practices, and energy-efficient mobility systems.
Whether you're an undergraduate or graduate student, or have recently graduated within the past year, this workforce development initiative will provide you with first-hand experience that will help you gain a better understanding of many roles and build your professional portfolio with meaningful projects.
