How You’ll Make An Impact
Our hands on and driven Assistant Chief Engineer will oversee all daily maintenance operations at the property to help our guest have a safe and happy stay.
- Assists with ordering and inventory of all supplies, materials, tools, keys, etc.
- Assists with budgeting for the department as well as learn how to process department accounting procedures.
- Assists with mentoring maintenance assistants teaching them new skills.
- Keeps team and Chief Engineer promptly and fully informed of all problems for timely corrective action.
- Assists the Chief Engineer with leading the maintenance department to incude assigning tasks to the team and scheduling.
- Assist with leading one on ones with maintenance assistants, sits in on disciplinary meeting along with Chief Engineer and assists with new team member interviews for the department.
What does success look like in this role?
- Willingness to openly embrace and actively demonstrate the company's Vision, Mission, Values, Culture and Operating Philosophy.
- One or more years of prior hotel, building or apartment maintenance experience.
- General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing construction.
- Operation knowledge of common power and hand tools
- Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve
- Follow instructions of daily projects and procedures
- Basic computer skills needed to perform job functions
