Research Assistant Internship position reporting to the Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Organizations
Within the Department of Faculty and Research, the Research Assistant is responsible for providing research support to the Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Organizations, to work on a long-term, multi-stage research project examining: 1) how accelerator participation influences the growth and survival of edtech ventures, and 2) how AI is being integrated into accelerator operations. The RA may also support ongoing research projects related to youth perspectives on employability and how nonprofit-corporate partnerships influence inclusive actions taken by corporate leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature review of academic publications (e.g., peer-reviewed journal articles, edited volumes, book chapters, etc.);
- Write extended abstracts of peer-reviewed articles as requested on relevant topics as part of the literature review process;
- Data collection, cleaning, and preliminary analysis of primary (e.g., survey data, web census) and secondary data (e.g., existing cross-country or country-level datasets);
- Participate in meetings and seminars and take meeting minutes;
- Other tasks depending on skills and interests
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate students or recent graduates (within the last year)
- Applicants must have coursework or degrees in the social sciences (e.g., sociology, business administration/management, political science, public policy, economics)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research (proficiency in web scraping, topic modeling, sentiment analysi is plus)
- Willingness to learn
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently under general direction and supervision
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
