The Role
We're looking for a Head of Driver Operations to own and optimize the driver pipeline from initial onboarding through long-term retention. You’ll play a critical role in improving the experience, performance, and reliability of our driver force, directly impacting the success of our deliveries and our customers’ satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and improve our driver onboarding and activation funnel
- Build and implement scalable retention strategies to increase long-term driver engagement (goal: move from 35% to 50%+ retention past 5 routes)
- Analyze current driver behavior and identify key drop-off points
- Design and test solutions that improve training, communication, and performance
- Own and optimize driver success metrics across the platform
- Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and customer service to align driver experience with business needs
- Take creative liberty to test and launch new initiatives that improve the overall quality and reliability of our driver base
Who You Are
- A systems thinker with experience in operations, logistics, or workforce onboarding
- Data-driven and organized, but not afraid to move fast and iterate
- Comfortable creating structure where there is ambiguity
- Strong communicator with a knack for motivating people and solving root issues
- Bonus: experience with 1099 contractor workforces, last-mile logistics, or gig economy platforms
