Assistant Director of Gifts & Records

The Assistant Director of Gifts & Records at University of Florida Advancement plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of development operations. This position leads cross-functional projects, monitors progress on data-driven initiatives, and acts as the primary point of contact for incoming communications related to gifts and records. Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for the timely resolution of gift and data inquiries, maintaining accurate constituent records, and driving strategic enhancements to workflows and systems that support the Advancement mission.The University of Florida recognizes both the value of telecommuting in fostering a flexible work environment; therefore, some consideration may be given to remote work within the U.S

Expected Salary: 
$55,000-$60,000; commensurate with education and experience.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Two years of gift processing experience, or a combination of education and experience in a professional, customer service, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and exercise strict confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
  • Data Entry, proofreading, grammar, and spelling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to provide excellent customer service and promote positive interaction between operations and professional staff as well as internally.
  • Ability to do in-depth research and follow-up.
  • Ability to keyboard or type 45 accurate words per minute.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to engage effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of individuals are essential.
  • A commitment to and support for workplace inclusion in all its forms; demonstrated success collaborating with stakeholders; strong project management skills; experience in a data-driven environment; excellent organizational abilities; and the capacity to lead, influence, and inspire others are essential.
  • Proficient in the following areas: Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, as well as internet browsers and email platforms. Familiarity with donor databases, contact management systems, and tracking systems is also highly preferred.
