Material Coordinator

Job Title: Material Coordinator 

Location: Dubuque, IA 52001
Job Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Job Type: Contract

Shift & Work Details:

First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Potential for Overtime based on production demands

Onsite role in a manufacturing environment

Pay Rate: Hourly (W2 – SGS Payroll)
Final pay rate based on relevant skills, education, experience, and selected benefits package.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Material Coordinator to join our production team in Dubuque, IA. This role ensures uninterrupted production by managing material flow, resolving inventory issues, and expediting critical parts. You’ll support production operations while collaborating with engineering and supply teams to proactively address gaps and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and tracking of production materials

Audit and ensure accuracy of material and inventory levels

Troubleshoot material shortages and inventory errors

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve material gaps

Manage change orders, deviations, and engineering release implementations

Work through critical shortage reports to secure timely part availability

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in Supply Management or Manufacturing

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to analyze information and make effective decisions

Team-oriented and collaborative approach to problem solving

Preferred Qualifications:

Some experience in material flow or manufacturing coordination

Hands-on experience with SAP and data analysis tools

Proven multitasking ability in fast-paced environments

Strong organizational and issue-resolution skills

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Business Management, Information Technology, or Engineering
OR

1–2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing or supply chain setting
