2025 Interior Design Internship Job Description

Contract Source is a commercial furniture dealer who specializes in servicing the education, public libraries, senior living, and other commercial businesses. We are a highly customer service focused company.  We are seeking a self-motivated individual to help continue our growing organization. 

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a part-time internship reports to a Design Coordinator and Operations Manager.  The ideal candidate must be organized, reliable, trustworthy, and must possess strong communication skills. The position requires multi-tasking. The paid internship includes the scope below of what the job entails: 

• General Business Processes
  • Involved in company meetings, market sector and rep meetings currently virtual or in person
  • Possible Shadowing a Sales Visit and Install visit with active account.
  • Manage projects by prioritizing and time management
• Work with Sales and Interior Design Staff in assisting with projects which includes:
  • Preliminary Layouts
  • Digital Visual Design Boards
  • Ordering materials for projects (fabrics, finishes, carpet samples)
  • Preparing Price quotes under the direction of a Sales/Design Coordinator
  • Detail Orientated, review and double check work
  • Prepare Installation Paperwork
  • My Resource Library Updates and Project Binders
• Administrative Assistant
  • Prepare Project Folders
  • Ordering Necessary Supplies for the office
  • Mailing Project Materials Out as needed
  • Order and File Literature
  • Answering Phones
  • Tagging Sample Products
  • Scanning old projects
  • Review Current Fabric and Finish Inventory
