Marketing & Content Creation Intern (Social Media / Photography / Videography)

We are a small, upscale home goods boutique located in the heart of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. Our carefully curated selection and warm, design-forward atmosphere make us a local destination for elevated home décor, gifts and interior design projects. We are seeking a creative and motivated intern to help bring our visual story to life across digital channels.

Position Overview

This internship is ideal for a student passionate about content creation, social media, photography, and visual storytelling. You’ll gain hands-on experience in brand marketing and have the opportunity to build a robust creative portfolio, all while being mentored in a supportive, design-centric environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Capture high-quality product and lifestyle photos in-store and on the Avenue
  • Record and edit video content for social media (e.g. Reels, TikToks)
  • Draft and edit captions and content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (including image carousels, video clips, and brand storytelling posts)
  • Design basic graphics and promotional visuals using Canva or Adobe tools
  • Support content scheduling and engagement tracking
  • Participate in creative planning sessions and brainstorms
  • Help maintain and organize a photo and video asset library
  • Ensure all content aligns with our brand voice and aesthetic

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college/university pursuing a degree in Photography, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Strong photography and/or videography skills, including photo composition and editing
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest)
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn as a platform for brand marketing and professional storytelling is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • A strong eye for design and aesthetics
  • Portfolio or samples of previous creative work strongly encouraged
