Distribution Internship

800 Pound Gorilla Media, founded in 2016, is one of the world’s leading comedy media companies specializing in the production, distribution, and marketing of stand-up comedy specials. Our hands-on distribution internship would revolve around many of the responsibilities below to ensure that the distribution team is supported and help grow the company as a whole. 

YouTube Audio channel upload & maintenance
- Upload & publish new album tracks (as video files)
- Organize album playlists in correct track list order
SiriusXM metadata completion
- Listen to comedy albums & capture metadata according to SXM specification
- Upload completed metadata sheet into Google Drive and ingest into
proprietary tracking app
- Update milestones for this task in internal project mgmt. software
(Monday.com)

QC Test pressings (approve/reject) – infrequent
- Listen to test pressings for vinyl projects and approve or reject for production
based on quality

Miscellaneous quality assurance tasks such as purchasing video specials on date of
release, reviewing audio releases to ensure they’re live on DSPs on expected date, etc.
