Position Description
We are seeking a part-time, temporary Communications Specialist to join our team! Students seeking internship opportunities are encouraged to apply! This position will coordinate association communications and work collaboratively with a small team. There will be flexibility, depending on the candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity to experience a variety of tasks in a non-profit healthcare organization, while working with a collaborative team. Preference will be given to individuals who are available as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Managing publication of a semimonthly e-newsletter, writing and proofing content, and assisting with the HTML coding.
- Draft content of various messaging, including advocacy alerts, events, and membership renewal.
- Assist with event logistics for an October event in Central Minnesota.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Familiarity with electronic newsletter coding would be valuable
Location: Minneapolis/remote
Wage: $16-20/hour commensurate with experience
