US-India Community Marketing Intern
Position: Community Marketing Intern (Remote – US-based)
Commitment: 10–20 hours per week
Location: Remote (US)
Duration: Flexible (Min. 6 months preferred)
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial intern who can act as MoneyKarma’s face to Indian-origin communities across the US, particularly among students and young professionals. You’ll be responsible for driving brand presence, creating content, building communities, and unlocking new opportunities, just like a mini-founder would.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a U.S. university and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (required); major in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

- Someone with deep familiarity with the Indian culture and the diaspora experience
- Someone who understands the needs, values, and preferences of Indian or Indian-origin communities in the U.S.
- Someone who has an existing network in the Indian communities in the U.S.
- Time commitment: 10 - 20 hours/week

Core Responsibilities
1. Content & Community Engagement
- Be the on-ground voice and face of MoneyKarma in Indian-origin communities in the US
- Host webinars, chat sessions, and campus events, both virtual and IRL
- Create daily content (short-form video, carousel posts, opinion pieces, reels, etc.) tailored for diaspora interests
- Drive engagement on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp groups, and relevant student forums
2. Research & Ideation
- You’ll receive a KT (knowledge transfer) on brand values, target personas, and existing verticals
- Post-KT, you’re expected to drive topic research, post ideas, and content execution
- If provided with content outlines, you’re still encouraged to add creative touches or evolve the direction with supervisor approval
3. Marketing Execution
- Help define and refine the structure and cadence of posting (Social Media, Webinars, Campaigns)
- Suggest unconventional ideas (with prior alignment), test formats, and analyze which pieces work
- Be involved in strategic partnerships and community outreach, clubs, cultural groups, HNI meetups, etc.
4. Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain a daily impact tracker for projects you're working on
- Track metrics like engagement, reach, registrations, feedback, etc.
- Proactively share learnings, what worked/didn’t, and shape future strategy

- Strong communication: verbal, written, visual storytelling
- Comfortable on camera: reels, webinars, interviews, lives
- Community-savvy: ideally already part of Indian student/cultural groups OR knows how to reach them
- Self-starter: gets things done, doesn’t wait to be told
- Creative thinker: tries new formats, tests bold ideas
- Execution > planning: knows how to move fast and learn by doing
- Organized: maintains trackers, deadlines, project updates
