Program Coordinator
Veterans Services, Veterans Housing Rehabilitation and Modification Pilot Program (VHRMPP)
Full Time, 40 hours/week
Salary: $50,000/Year
SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, 8-4, Some weekends and evenings
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Oversees and Implements Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Veterans Housing Rehabilitation and Modification Pilot Program (VHRMPP). This position will serve as the liaison between Family & Community Services, Inc. (FCS) and Ride with Valor (RWV) in operating this grant. This position is also responsible for reviewing all applications and ensuring that the applicant meets the criteria necessary to qualify for this program. This position will also work with FCS and RWV to provide outreach to Veterans Service Organizations, the VA, and Veterans Service Commissions. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for tracking all matching funds and completing quarterly reports to HUD. The Program Coordinator will be a new position funded through the grant.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews and approves applications for the VHRMPP
2. Working with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to ensure program compliance
3. Works through the HEROS website to make sure properties comply with HUD standards
4. Works with Accounting and Finance Department to ensure funds are drawn down through HUD’s Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting System
5. Is the liaison between FCS and RWV
6. Provides outreach to Veterans Service Commissions, Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Service Organizations and other entities providing services to veterans. Tracks all outreach activities
7. Works with governmental entities to leverage funding and to ensure local compliance of renovation work
8. Tracks all in-kind donations and match funding for the VHRMPP grant
9. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
10. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability if applicable.
2. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation) if applicable.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
