Strategy Operation Business Analyst

The DiDi International Business Group (IBG) Mobility Marketplace is designed to efficiently connect riders and drivers while optimizing the overall user experience. The Marketplace Strategy (MPS) team functions as a centralized strategic hub, working in close partnership with regional operations worldwide to deliver data-driven solutions that accelerate business growth, strengthen user engagement and retention, and enhance marketplace efficiency. Our responsibilities include conducting in-depth analysis of user behavior and supply-demand dynamics to identify systemic areas for optimization. We design and incubate scalable strategies and develop analytical frameworks to address complex, cross-functional challenges. The team also plays a key role in enabling effective collaboration across Operations, Algorithm, Product, and Engineering functions to ensure seamless strategy execution. MPS initiatives span across fundamental marketplace levers—including dynamic pricing, intelligent dispatching, and incentive design—providing both strategic depth and operational exposure in shaping market-level outcomes and competitive positioning.
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst focused on strategy operations, your scope of work will span six key areas. Your mission is to ensure that strategic initiatives are executed effectively, monitored systematically, and continuously refined through data-driven feedback and iteration.

Strategy Monitoring and Insights
• Build and continuously optimize monitoring metrics to enable data-informed decision-making and ongoing strategic iteration.
• Design structured data visualization frameworks that deliver clear, actionable insights across diverse strategic scenarios and levels of granularity.
• Identify optimization opportunities through rigorous analysis of strategic metrics and data trends, driving continuous and focused strategy refinement.
• Lead the development of automated anomaly detection mechanisms for key indicators to strengthen real-time risk awareness and operational responsiveness.
Competitive Intelligence
• Continuously track competitor strategy updates across key dimensions and interpret shifts using public signals and user-side behavioral data.
• Analyze the structural design of competitor strategies to extract key differentiators and referenceable practices.
• Compare external strategies with internal approaches to identify actionable gaps and inform targeted optimizations.

Strategic Direction Planning & Management
• Maintain the work breakdown structure (WBS) to support execution planning.
• Support quarterly and long-term roadmap development.
• Track strategy versions and maintain traceability across milestones and decision points.
• Lead structured reviews and distill transferable learnings for future initiatives.
• Facilitate alignment on objectives, collaboration models, and execution workflows.
• Ensure consistent understanding and interpretation of strategy across stakeholders.

Cross-functional Execution
• Ensure strategy logic and execution details are clearly communicated across Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to support aligned implementation.
• Define and communicate key dependencies, timelines, and critical updates to enable smooth and coordinated cross-functional collaboration.
• Monitor the quality of strategy execution and proactively identify operational barriers.
• Consolidate and analyze frontline feedback to inform timely parameter adjustments.
• Oversee rollout planning to ensure structured and traceable implementation.
Integration with High-priority Business Initiatives
• Partner with city operations to support the execution of high-priority business initiatives.
• Ensure strategies are localized and effectively integrated into project implementations.
• Align strategy team deliverables with overarching project timelines and execution plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional updates and maintain joint visibility into adjustments.
• Synthesize frontline insights into scalable recommendations.
Foundational Data Infrastructure Support
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design, develop, and continuously improve dashboards and monitoring tools that support strategy analysis.
• Document key data dependencies and enhance data accessibility and efficiency. 
• Maintain calibers for core metrics and facilitate cross-team alignment.
• Support the definition, implementation, and validation of tagging requirements.
