Administrative Assistant

SEEKING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

The Hellenic Classical Charter Schools are public charter schools located in Brooklyn (HCCS-PS) and Staten Island (HCCS-SI). HCCS provides a classics based education in the study of humanities and literature for students in Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grades.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintain student records, files, and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Supporting school leadership with scheduling, calendar management, and meeting coordination
  • Assisting with preparation of reports, letters, memos, and other communication
  • Helping maintain inventory and order office and classroom supplies as needed
  • Coordinating attendance reporting, student sign-in/out procedures, and late arrival/early dismissal tracking
  • Providing support with data entry, database management, and school systems (e.g., student information systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office)
  • Serving as a liaison between the school and families, ensuring timely and effective communication
  • Supporting compliance with school policies, procedures, and deadlines

Minimum Requirements:

  • A high school degree or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an office, preferably in an education setting
  • Fingerprint clearance
