Apprentice - East Tennessee Region
Apprenticeship Program Duration: September 8, 2025 - April 10, 2026
Summary
Our 6-month apprenticeship offers comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills in the banking industry. Each week, you will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the line of business. You will have the opportunity to complete tasks that will help you understand the day-to-day operations of a bank and develop a well-rounded skillset. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. By the end of the 6 months, you will have gained valuable insights, built a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially set the stage for future career opportunities at First Horizon.
Work schedule and number of hours worked weekly (minimum: 15- 20 Hours) are flexible, within normal business hours, onsite at the corporate main office building
The Apprentice will learn and assist with the day-to-day duties of the East Regional Banking leaders and members, including:
- This position will work on projects & tasks with the East Region team such as scheduling client/prospect events, strategic social media, managing logistics of events, etc.
- Providing valuable support to the implementation of client events, marketing campaigns, and brand awareness initiatives
Qualifications
- Full-time graduate or doctorate student with anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026
- GPA of 3.4 or above
- Communication, Marketing, Public Relations degree is preferred.
- Resourcefulness, team-oriented, enthusiastic
- Excels in collaboration, organization, with a strategic mindset.
- Has the ability to multi-task and is a great communicator.
