About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about live music, events, and digital marketing?
Skyway Theatre — a nationally recognized electronic music venue located in downtown Minneapolis — is seeking motivated, senior-level college interns for our Fall 2025 Marketing & Venue Operations Internship.

This hybrid internship offers hands-on experience in two core areas:

  • Marketing & Business Operations (weekday, office-based)
  • Venue Operations & Event Support (weekend evenings)

Top-performing interns may be considered for paid part-time or full-time employment upon completion.

Internship Tracks & Responsibilities

Office-Based Marketing & Admin (Weekdays)

Work with our marketing team to build campaigns, manage digital platforms, and support daily office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and schedule social media content
  • Create weekly email marketing campaigns
  • Update events on WordPress-based website
  • Monitor online engagement and customer feedback
  • Coordinate with street team and promotions
  • Design marketing graphics (if applicable)
  • Manage ticket inquiries and venue communications
  • Assist with general administrative tasks

Schedule: Minimum 1 weekday per week (10AM–6PM)
Pay: Paid after first 10 hours

Venue Operations & Event Support (Weekend Evenings)

Support the team during live shows by working on-site in a fast-paced, high-volume concert environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with load-in, setup, and load-out for events
  • Help ensure safety and crowd flow during shows
  • Work with production, security, and hospitality teams
  • Reset and restore venue post-show
  • Support on-site promotions and guest experience

Schedule: Minimum 1 weekend evening shift per week
Pay: Paid hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Incoming college senior (Fall 2025)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Must receive college credit for internship
  • Ability to commit 10–20 hours per week
  • Local to Minneapolis or able to relocate prior to start

Preferred Majors:

  • Marketing, Communications, PR, Advertising
  • Music Business, Event Planning, Hospitality
  • Graphic/Web Design, IT, Audio Engineering
  • Business, Entrepreneurship, Journalism, or related fields

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Social media fluency (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Basic graphic or video editing (Canva, Adobe, Final Cut) a plus
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
