Internship – Gift Wrapper & Social Media Assistant
Avenue Wrapping is a professional gift-wrapping studio and boutique located inside Chickasaw Oaks. We handle everything from one-of-a-kind presents to large corporate projects, operate mobile wrapping bars at homes and offices, and produce digital content that teaches practical wrapping skills. We are hiring a seasonal intern to help with two critical tasks: high-standard gift wrapping and basic social-media production. Successful interns are precise, fast learners who can accept feedback, keep pace when the rush hits, and represent the brand professionally on-site and online.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Gift Wrapping
- Train on our proven wrapping methods; precision first, speed second—then both.
- Once trained, wrap unsupervised while consistently meeting visual standards.
- Re-wrap or retie bows when asked—no ego, just accuracy.
- Work in-store and at off-site jobs (homes, offices, malls). Reliable transportation required.
Social Media Support
- Capture and edit short videos (brand stories, tutorials, staged gift shots).
- Draft captions and schedule posts that match our tone.
- Keep photo/video files organized for easy reuse.
Customer Interaction & General Help
- Welcome customers with a calm, professional attitude.
- Handle retail basics: inventory checks, tagging, restocking, cleanup.
- Tackle other tasks as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail; willing to redo work until it meets standards.
- Quick learner who can wrap accurately and efficiently once trained.
- Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Basic smartphone video shooting/editing skills (Reels/TikTok).
- Available ~10 hrs/week Aug–Oct, 30+ hrs/week Nov–Dec; preference for candidates who can stay on into 2026.
