Executive Assistant Intern

Position Title: Executive Assistant Intern to Founder & Creative Director
Location: Hybrid - DC & remote
Schedule: Summer Internship | 4–8 hours per week for 12 weeks

About You:

We are looking for a creative, organized, and dependable college student or recent graduate to  intern as our CEO's Executive Assistant. If you are interested in dance, marketing, content creation, research, and or entrepreneurship and have a passion for uplifting underrepresented voices, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

You must thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and have a strong ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

About the Founder:

Ajia is a dynamic entrepreneur with a career that has spanned tech, dance, and fitness and now leads a growing hair salon brand with 2 locations across the DMV area. With over 20 years of experience in the beauty, wellness, and performing arts industries, Ajia blends artistry and empowerment across every space she leads — from the dance floor to the salon chair. This internship is an opportunity to work closely with a visionary creative leader in an energetic, fast-paced, and inspiring environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and organized Executive Assistant Intern to support our CEO this summer. The intern will assist in content creation, performance planning, and brand visibility efforts across her multiple creative ventures. This role is ideal for someone who’s energetic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about dance, wellness, beauty, and content creation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Content & Marketing Support

Record and edit dance classes, rehearsals, and performances

Create engaging social media content for classes, events, and behind-the-scenes moments

Assist with scheduling and managing a content calendar

Contribute to caption writing, idea brainstorming, and visual storytelling aligned with the brand

Performance & Talent Coordination

Assist with scouting and recruiting dancers or talent for performances

Help organize casting calls, rehearsals, and event logistics

Support communications with performers, collaborators, and creative partners

Executive Assistance

Manage light administrative tasks such as scheduling and task tracking

Provide on-site support at classes, rehearsals, and events as needed

Maintain professionalism and discretion while working closely with the founder
