Overview of the Role
The American Australian Association’s Communications Team is seeking a motivated and curious intern to support our marketing and communications initiatives. Reporting directly to the Communications & Marketing Manager, this role offers hands-on experience across content creation, campaign development, and marketing operations.
This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in communications, business (marketing), public relations, or advertising who are eager to gain real-world experience in a dynamic nonprofit organization.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and scheduling content for social media, email campaigns, and newsletters aligned with the Association’s events and programs
Collaborate with the in-house design associate on visual assets and marketing materials
Support the creation and execution of customer engagement and retention strategies
Contribute to maintaining and optimizing the Association’s website, CRM tools and data.
Participate in planning meetings and contribute ideas to upcoming campaigns and communications strategies
Provide general support to marketing and communications operations, including data entry, reporting, and tracking content performance

Completion of initial coursework in communications, marketing, or related fields
Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail
