Paralegal

Positon:  Trusts & Estate Paralegal

Location: 12651 Walsingham Rd. Largo, FL 33774

(Hybrid/ 3 days per week on-site)- M-F 8am -5pm

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal with a strong background in estate planning to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in drafting and managing estate planning documents, communicating with clients, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a high degree of confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents including
  • Wills
  • Trusts (revocable, irrevocable, special needs, etc.)
  • Powers of attorney
  • Health care directives
  • Deeds and other ancillary documents
  • Bill at least 30 hours per week
  • Complete all assigned tasks by the end of the week,
  • Move cases along workflows in a by assigned time frame
  • Maintain and organize client files and documentation in compliance with firm protocols.
  • Conduct legal and factual research related to estate planning, probate, and tax implications.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates throughout the estate planning process.
  • Prepare asset schedules and assist in the funding of trusts, including retitling of assets.
  • Coordinate with financial institutions, accountants, and other professionals.
  • Assist attorneys with probate and trust administration tasks as needed.
  • Monitor case progress and deadlines using case management systems.
  • Notarize documents (if licensed).

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning terminology and processes.
  • Familiarity with probate and trust administration procedures a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, WealthCounsel, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.

Preferred Skills:

Bilingual abilities (Spanish and English)

Knowledge of relevant tax laws affecting estates and trusts.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus performance bonuses
