Accountant

The Fiscal Department In Our Administrative Office Seeks An Accountant That Will:

 

  • Be detail-oriented and experienced in accounting while supporting key financial operations within our organization.
  • Complete accounting batches, including accounts payable vouchers and general ledger journal entries.
  • Oversee and streamline accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and purchase orders. Provide strategic input to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Proactively monitor monthly accounts payable activity, resolve outstanding issues, and provide timely reporting and analysis.
  • Manage and coordinate bi-weekly stipend payments for specialized programs ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Support the bi-weekly payroll process for agency staff.
  • Complete the annual 1099 reporting process, including vendor qualification, transaction review, and data validation.
  • Support the Director of Finance by preparing and reviewing monthly fiscal reports and assisting in program monitoring to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead the monthly financial reporting process for assigned programs including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Provide oversight and fiscal support for non-grant revenue streams.
  • Uphold and model strict compliance with all agency and finance office policies and procedures

 

Candidate Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience working as an Accountant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (specifically Excel).
  • Experience with Accounting software programs and ADP a plus.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without the need for Visa Sponsorship
