Jr. Operations Analyst

Job Purpose: The Individual in the role will be part of a team that is responsible for reconciling futures, swaps, and options, both domestically (primary) and in support of our international businesses. The role provides many opportunities to work alongside various groups within the company and provides exposure to the front office. 

General Duties: 

• Monitor our Exchange APIs through which we receive all our financially cleared trades and validate new trades as captured by our Electronic Risk Management System

• Troubleshoot issues with automated trade entry, working hand in hand with internal and external technical teams 

• Intraday Recons of positions monitored and reviewed on a frequent basis. Addressing and resolving position/trade breaks as they arise. Point of contact on such matters, promptly communicating to relevant internal and external parties 

• OTC broker confirm reconciliation, review and match broker confirms as received throughout the day 

• Contribute to our Power and Gas operations support which may entail assisting in confirmations(contracts) and settlements of physical and financial bilateral OTC transactions 

• Other tasks may include: reconcile clearing brokerage fees, trader setups/onboarding, compliance monitoring, position reporting, p&l recaps, invoicing, and contract review 

• The role entails a sizable amount of work with data, internal and external applications, and IT groups on technical issues 

Skills/Qualifications: 

• Minimum 1 year working experience 

• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and charting) 

• Disciplined and focused work ethic is necessary to succeed in this role
