POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intern for the Commissioners' office will assist the Commissioners and their staff as needed in daily policy and procedures and perform work in various departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist various county departments as directed.
• Assist with preparing different forms of communication for internal and external communication.
• Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic County information.
• Perform administrative duties, maintain physical and electronic files, organize documents, photocopy, scan, etc. as needed.
• Assist in preparing information and research materials.
• Observe multiple county employees/officials and train in a variety of tasks related to providing information/services to the public.
• Performs similar or related duties as assigned/required.

• High School graduate or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be 18 years of age
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Eager and able to tackle new projects and ideas
