Broadcast Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:
The Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth are looking to hire a full-time Broadcast Coordinator to join their Broadcast and Streaming team. This new position reports to the Director of Streaming with a dotted line to the Executive Producer, and is an on-site position based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The position will support the execution, optimization, and coordination of broadcast and streaming operations for SEG+ and SEG Media. The Broadcast Coordinator will work cross-functionally with Production, Marketing, Analytics, and Streaming teams to support the operational and strategic needs of SEG Media original content and game broadcasts. This person will split time across the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. The ideal candidate is organized, digitally fluent, and passionate about sports, content, and the sports media landscape.
 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the scheduling, programming, and metadata management of content across SEG’s streaming CMS and social platforms.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of content for SEG Media, including but not limited to podcasts, alt-casts, social content, and VOD features.
  • Contribute to the production process as needed, including graphic support, highlight clipping, and video edit creation - training to be provided, as needed.
  • Work with streaming partner(s) to manage open requests (e.g., graphics needs, product updates, and customer support tracking), as directed by the Director of Streaming.
  • Serve as a liaison between Broadcast, Marketing, and Analytics teams to align content strategy with platform performance and goals.
  • Monitor streaming performance and surface data-informed insights to improve future programming, customer acquisition and retention, and distribution strategy; create detailed summary reports for internal sharing.
  • Stay current on industry trends, platform innovations, and best practices in OTT content delivery and engagement.
  • Protect the reputation of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by sports and entertainment events.
  • Strong familiarity with OTT platforms.
  • Experience managing social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools, digital performance tracking, and project management systems.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with streaming video protocols and infrastructure (e.g., SRT, RTMP, SDI workflows).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) or similar production tools.
  • Familiarity with professional basketball and/or hockey operations and fan culture.
  • Passion for sports media, digital storytelling, and innovation.
     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
