Description
We are currently seeking a Membership & Development Intern who is a highly energetic, tactful, and engaging self-starter and can bring creative thinking to engage with and grow Network 20/20’s membership and donor base.
We run several programs, including our Virtual Briefing Series, Salon Series, Virtual Salon Series, Deep Dives, and Entrepreneurial Diplomacy. The Membership & Development Intern will become familiar with all programs to better assist members and potential members in navigating their membership. In addition to becoming familiar with Network 20/20's work, the Membership & Development Intern will participate in:
Individual Membership Engagement
Network 20/20 has a largely New York-based membership comprised of professionals and retirees from diverse professional backgrounds. Our intern will work with the Associate Program Director and the President to nurture and cultivate the membership. This task will include:
- Replying to membership inquiries from potential and current members
- Helping Network 20/20 connect with individual members on social media platforms
- Helping compile data and provide analysis of members and potential members
- Ensuring all contact information for members is up to date.
- Working with the APD to develop a protocol in cultivating membership at Network 20/20
Corporate Membership Cultivation
Network 20/20 has a Corporate Membership program. Our intern will work with the President and selected Board Members to nurture corporate membership. This task entails:
- Drafting and sending correspondence to current and prospective members
- Researching corporate prospects
- Monitoring membership email accounts and respond to inquiries
- Helping compile data about programs and membership to demonstrate impact
- Ensuring all contact information for members is up to date
Office Duties and Board Relations
- Work with President and Associate Program Director to draft donor thank you letters and end of year receipts,
- Help compile documents for quarterly board meetings and correspond with board members about upcoming board meetings,
- Assist the President in arranging meetings with past and potential donors or members.
This internship will commence on September 8th and end on December 19th. It requires a commitment of three days a week (which can be arranged between you and Network 20/20 prior to your first day). The internship is hybrid (but can be done remotely if need to) and a stipend of $200/week is accompanied with this position.
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience tracking KPIs to achieve financial and strategic goals
- Interest in interacting with people
- Passion for international relations is a plus
- Strong organization skills
- Experience working with CRMs and Excel
- Experience with business & partnership development is a plus
- Good understand of Excel to clean and analyze data
- Ability to work independently as well as closely with a team
- U.S. work permit is required
