Social Media Manager / Graphic Designer

Kampfire PR is a full-service marketing and publicity firm specializing in theater, entertainment, and live events. From Off-Broadway hits to boundary-pushing nightlife experiences like Stage Time, we craft bold, story-driven campaigns that spark attention and ignite audiences.

We're seeking a multi-talented Social Media Manager / Graphic Designer to join our team. This person should be equal parts content strategist, visual storyteller, and digital community builder—ready to elevate campaigns across platforms with sharp visuals and compelling copy.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Threads

Develop and manage monthly social media calendars in coordination with client deadlines and show openings

Monitor trends and develop reactive content aligned with Kampfire and client brands

Collaborate with our press team to amplify earned media and client mentions

Track analytics and prepare reports on growth, engagement, and ROI

Graphic Design

Design branded assets including show announcements, press quote graphics, story templates, and promotional visuals

Maintain visual consistency across platforms and campaigns

Create graphics for both organic and paid social media content (including reels covers, carousels, and ads)

Occasionally support with print collateral like postcards and posters

Creative Strategy & Support

Work directly with the Director of Communications and client leads to brainstorm creative campaign ideas

Assist in building visual identities for new productions, festivals, and company launches

Maintain and organize media asset libraries (Dropbox, Canva folders, etc.)

Qualifications:

2+ years managing social media for a brand, agency, or arts organization

Strong portfolio of graphic design work (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)

Knowledge of current social media trends, analytics, and best practices

Excellent written communication and creative caption writing skills

Ability to juggle multiple campaigns and meet deadlines

Familiarity with theater, live performance, or the NYC arts scene is a plus

Video editing skills (Reels, TikToks) a major bonus

Compensation:

This is a contract role with competitive hourly or weekly compensation, based on experience and scope. Estimated workload ranges from 10–20 hours per week depending on project cycles, with potential for growth into a longer-term engagement.
