Tax Preparer
Urban Upbound is recruiting Volunteers and Paid Tax Preparers to participate in the IRS VITA Tax Preparation Program for the new tax season. This will be for in-person and virtual services for low-income individuals and families. Students will prepare simple to advanced tax returns. Urban Upbound is #1 in the state of NY and #1 in the nation for the IRS VITA Program.
Students may qualify for the paid position if they work 3 to 5 days a week during the tax season of 12 weeks. Furthermore, after tax season, students may qualify to continue working until the end of October. Also, students may use their time with us to apply for an internship. Our training begins in November and is from Monday to Friday from 9-5 at our main office in Queens. To register for this training, you may apply as early as mid-October. Once you have completed your training and passed all 3 certifications then you may apply for the position. If you have an ITIN, you will qualify to volunteer.

- Advanced - CERTIFICATE
Please note: Bilingual speakers are a PLUS due to the high demand.
