High School Math Teacher

Position: High School Math Teacher (Grades 9–12)  Location: Troy Campus | Agape Christian Academy  Status: Full-Time | 2025–2026 Academic Year

Objective

Agape Christian Academy is seeking a mission-minded and mathematically gifted educator to serve as the High School Math Teacher at our Troy Campus. This role offers the opportunity to lead students through advanced math content while nurturing their hearts and minds in light of the gospel. The teacher will provide instruction in courses including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Consumer Math, and Precalculus, helping students grow as logical thinkers and faithful Christ-followers.

Reports to: Campus Principal

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

  • Teach core math courses (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Consumer Math, and Precalculus), aligned with the school’s Christ-centered curriculum
  • Integrate a biblical worldview into each mathematical concept and application
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and promote excellence
  • Use frequent formative and summative assessments to support student mastery and growth

Classroom Culture & Discipleship

  • Establish a structured, respectful, and grace-filled classroom that reflects biblical values
  • Lead students in prayer, devotions, and discussions that link faith and learning
  • Foster perseverance, humility, and critical thinking through real-world math challenges
  • Partner with parents in ongoing communication about student progress and spiritual development

School Life & Community Engagement

  • Engage in faculty devotions, collaborative planning, and professional development
  • Support student involvement in school events such as college planning, service initiatives, and academic recognitions
  • Participate in campus-wide gatherings like Back-to-School Night, Parent Fellowship, and student exhibitions
  • Collaborate across disciplines to strengthen whole-person discipleship and cross-curricular alignment


 

HighQualifications & Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by conduct and conviction
  • Active membership in a doctrinally sound, Bible-believing local church
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field
  • Clear calling and passion to teach high school students within a Christ-centered framework
  • Ability to explain complex math concepts clearly and joyfully
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
  • Excellent relational communication with students, colleagues, and families

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience teaching high school math in a Christian school context
  • Familiarity with faith-integrated mathematics curricula
  • Comfort with instructional technology and college-readiness standards
