WCF is an A Rated insurance carrier that is growing in the western U.S. and is looking for an applicant that wants to join a company with a great culture, competitive pay, and outstanding benefits. The product team specifically works on commercial insurance lines such as property, liability, and umbrella and has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a full-time Product Analyst. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Product Development. The person in this position works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters or one of the regional offices located in Roseville, CA; Boise, ID; or Denver, CO. Hybrid (office/home) or remote option is available. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.


 

Responsibilities


 

The Product Analyst is responsible for obtaining and analyzing business insurance product information, focusing on competitiveness and profitability. The person in this position supports product managers and assists with implementing pricing changes and product feature changes. The Product Analyst analyzes competitor rates and products features, prepares, and maintains rate manuals and rating algorithms, and prepares rates and rule filings in accordance with state regulations. The person in this position prepares and monitors growth and profitability related reports and communicates finding and recommendations within the product management department and to other areas of the company. The Product Analyst prepares and communicates detailed business requirements for product changes and will represent product managers in their absence.



 

Qualifications


 

The most qualified Product Analyst candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, insurance, math, statistics, or a similar field of study.
  • At least two years of related work experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to quickly identify cause and effect relationships.
  • Successful completion of projects showing self-motivation and pride of ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Business insurance product and coverage knowledge preferred.
  • Database querying experience preferred.


 

Minimum pay for a Product Analyst is $68,000. Ability to fill position at Senior Product Analyst level depending on experience and qualifications.


 

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
