We are currently looking for a full-time non-exempt Commercial Documentation Specialist I to join our team!  In this role, you will be supporting the Commercial & Business Banking Team by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate loan and deposit documentation, while also assisting members with related services to ensure high-quality experience.

This position will work onsite at the Gateway branch in Springfield, Oregon.  The Commercial Documentation Specialist I is only eligible for in-office work arrangements. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm. 

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: The full salary range for the Commercial Documentation Specialist position is $22.06 to $32.19 per hour, with new hires generally starting between $22.06 to $27.13 per hour, based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience. 

Annual Incentive: In addition, all SELCO team members receive an annual incentive based on how well SELCO meets the prior year’s strategic business goals. This incentive is calculated using the team member’s prior year eligible earnings and ranges from 0%-12% (with the average payout over the last five years being 11.07%).

POSITION DETAILS

Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of all customer documentation in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Support commercial and business banking operations through a variety of services, including:
    • Coordinating with internal and external customers to obtain documentation (e.g., credit reports, appraisals, insurance verification, UCC filings, title, and escrow reports).
    • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate loan and deposit documentation.
    • Boarding and servicing business and commercial loans in SELCO’s core systems.
    • Electronic filing of documentation in the document imaging system, ensuring consistency in naming conventions, indexing, and retention practices. 
    • Conducting periodic file reviews to ensure documentation integrity and regulatory compliance.
    • Participate in projects as needed, providing support through research, data analysis, and preparation of project deliverables, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion and accurate execution.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a financial institution; and
  • LaserPro or other commercial loan documentation software experience is preferred; and
  • Must be bondable.
